Thermoforms

Thermoforms

Thermoforming is a molding technique that transforms plastic films into items of various shapes and sizes.

Several materials are used: PST, ABS, PC, PVC, PMMA, PET G, PET, PST in coil, Polypropylene, PE.

The procedure is very simple: firstly, the plastic sheet is heated up until the material softens and becomes malleable; secondly, a very strong pressure makes the sheet adhere to the mold. Through thermoforming, standard containers can be produced such as bowls, trays, cups, buckets and saucers.

High rules dies are the most suitable tools for cutting the outer perimeter of this type of packaging.
